Paper Bou is delighted to announce an independent artist-run initiative print publication, called Paper Bou.co showcasing emerging and mid-career talent, including the art forms of drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, poetry and short stories.

Artists are invited to submit work for Issue 1: Authenticity edition (2019) - Date TBA.

Paper Bou.co will be made available worldwide via an online print on demand bookstore at Blurb.

Deadline: 20 September, 2018

Theme: Authenticity

Work submitted must relate to the theme Authenticity - although broad think along the lines of your true self, the exquisite centre that makes you, you; your inner self and your big dreams, what message do you have to share? Perhaps the contrast of the real vs ego or what it means to be genuine, original, transparent.

Submission options:

Art

• Submit 1-5 artworks (image format jpeg, 72-300dpi accepted, 1-2MB, named - Title_Name_Surname) 
• Website/Social Media links
• Brief artist statement including how you responded to the theme/bio
• Submitted image/s info (title, medium, dimensions, year)
• Submission via email paper_bou@hotmail (with submission in the header)

Literature

• Submit 1-2 poetries/short stories
• Word count 500 words maximum for poetry and 1500 words maximum for short stories
• Website/Social Media links
• Submission via email paper_bou@hotmail (with submission in the header)

Fees

• Submission entry is free 

Terms and conditions

Applicants must be 18 years or older.

You retain copyright to all images and written works submitted, but agree for royalty free rights for use within the publication and the right to use as promotional images for the magazine.

By submitting to Paper Bou.co you warrant that:

• you own the original work
• you are over the age of 18
• your work does not infringe on any laws
• you may not hold Paper Bou liable for any legal fees/damage associated with your breach of the above warranty

If you do not agree, do not submit your work to Paper Bou.co.

At this stage Paper Bou.co will not be accepting video/film or music works. But will accept written articles related to these mediums.

Paper Bou.co does not accept work that has pornographic or horror related themes.

All submissions are carefully considered and you will be notified within 3 weeks if your submission is successful/unsuccessful.

Accepting both national and international artists.

Artists can submit both an artwork submission and a literature submission.

Please note Paper Bou.co does not contain any paid advertisements, this is an artist run initiative for artists and art lovers, providing a print on demand product that can be purchased world wide via blurb.com.
